The note cards are exquisitely letterpressed; the gray card series in three values of gray ink and black ink, the grass card series in three colors of ink. Printed in Holyoke, "The Paper City", in Western Massachusetts, the designs reflect mainly area pastoral scenes and Cape Cod nautical scenes, all from Gaulin's original photography.
